Turkeys given out at Food Pantry

Over 100 turkeys were given out to clients of the Franklin Area Survival Center's food pantry during this month.  Many of our clients will enjoy a great Thanksgiving Day with their families due to the generosity of the Emblem Club, several private donators as well as the Western Mass Food Bank! We appreciate all of you for helping make our client's day!

Greenfield Boy and Cub Scouts Food Drive

The Greenfield boy scouts and cub scouts collected 3,371 pounds of food and packed them in crates for us last Saturday.  This is an annual event and every year they work hard to help support the Franklin Area Survival Center's food pantry. We appreciate the dedication of their scout leaders, volunteers and families who assist them. They all work very hard! Our shelves were stocked high with food by the end of the day Saturday and looking great. However, the sad fact is, that those shelves will empty very quickly. A special thank you to Russell Kimball of Greenfield, who is the point person for the scouts!

Greenfield Boy Scouts Annual Food Drive

The Greenfield Boy Scouts will be out tomorrow to pick up the bags they dropped off last week for non-perishable foods. If you did not get a bag and would like to donate food, you can drop them off at the First Congregational Church (Silver Street) before noon.  All the foods are donated to the Franklin Area Survival Center's food pantry. We appreciate any food that you are able to donate. We thank the Greenfield scouts for their continued support of the Franklin Area Survival Center and thank you for donating!

Greenfield Boy Scouts Hosting Food Drive-November 17

Greenfield area cub scouts and boy scouts will be out to pick up bags they dropped off at Greenfield homes this past Saturday. They will pick them up next Saturday, November 17th and crate them for distribution at the Franklin Area Survival Center's food pantry in Turners Falls.  This is a very big food drive and the cubs and boy scouts work very hard to get us a lot of food. They get some assistance from their parents, scout leaders and volunteers to get to all the homes. We have become very dependent on this annual drive and thank them very much for their continued assistance, especially around the holiday season!  Please donate as much as you can and leave your bags out so they can easily get them. Thanks so much!
