Food Pantry changes

With the economy as bad as it is, the Franklin Area Survival Center board of directors decided to increase the amount of food clients receive.  We have added an additional day of food to their allowance.  That means each member of the household will get 4 days of food. This is available on a monthly basis.  Check with your intake worker when signing in.

Bread and sweets are still available, but on a reduced level at times. Our major bread donator does not have the quantity available as they once did. We, at times, will restrict bread disbursement to client's only. As much as possible we will still make bread goods and specials available to all who come through the door asking, but clients will come first when we have a reduced amount available. Thank you for your understanding.

Debit and Credit Cards

Reminder! We are now accepting debit and credit cards in our thrift store.  We had been asked for a few years to do this and it has finally happened.  Please stop in and shop and don't hesitate to use your Visa, Mastercard, Diner's Club or Discover cards! We look forward to seeing you soon!

Prices Raised, first time since 2008

In the past few years we have seen a steady increase in need at our food pantry. So much so, we recently increased the amount of food our clients receive so that we can help them make it through these hard times. We have also seen a steady rise in requests for assistance. Because of this, and the increases in costs related to running our operation, we have increased the prices in our thrift store.  Yet we did so reasonably.  Where else can you purchase jeans, pants, or dresses for just $4 each? Please stop in and check out the new price list, because we are sure you will still find us to be the least expensive thrift shop in our area. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
