Annual Postal Carrier Food Drive Totals

We would like to thank all the postal carriers who participated in the annual food drive this past Saturday, May 12th. Greenfield, Turners Falls, and Northfield participated and collected food from residents and the results are fantastic! Turners Falls collected 2, 488 pounds; Greenfield collected 2,548 pounds and Northfield 1,075!. That is a staggering 6,111 pounds of food. We cannot thank them enough for doing this every year. They are dedicated in their duty as carriers, but also dedicated in helping others. We appreciate their continued support and thank them from the bottom of our hearts.

We would also like to thank the residents of Greenfield, Turners Falls, and Northfield. You have been there for us for 31 years and we can't thank you enough! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

ANNUAL POSTAL CARRIERS FOOD DRIVE, SATURDAY, MAY 12

The annual postal workers will be out collecting food for your local food pantries and food banks, please give generously.  All food pantries are experiencing increased numbers of people needing assistance. The economy has hurt a lot of people.  Many people asking for help have never needing assistance before, honest people who have worked all their lives and never asked are now seeking our assistance.  Please donate any non-perishable foods that you can. Place them in bags outside near your mailbox. If you are rural, please put it out below your box, so the driver can reach the bag(s).

This has been the largest national food drive for the past 10 years--Let's keep history growing and make this year the biggest and best yet. On behalf of all food pantries and food banks, we thank you in advance for your generosity!
