FASC Annual Recognition/Appreciation Picnic

The Franklin Area Survival Center will close at 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, June 18th to allow staff and volunteers to attend our annual appreciation/recognition picnic at Northfield Mountain's recreation center. Each year the board of directors hold a picnic to thank the employees and volunteers for their dedication. The Survival Center is grateful to all our volunteers who dedicate many hours a week helping for feed the hungry of Franklin County by working at our food pantry. Without their assistance we could not help as many families and people would go hungry.

We also appreciate the dedication of our employees: Del Parsons, Site Supervisor; Les Chadwick, Van Driver, Monique Richardson, Sorting Room Coordinator; Madeline Murray. Mary Cavanaugh and Miranda Boyle, our thrift store cashiers.

Thank you all very much!

Minor Construction at the Survival Center

The Franklin Area Survival Center has been undergoing some minor construction. The center door has been widened to include a 2 foot additional add-on door. An overhang has also been added to allow for coverage while unloading or loading during inclement weather. We also added two large secured storage areas next to the building. This will allow us to store the overflow items for the store, or the items that have been sold and we are holding them for pick up. Everything has been painted to match the existing outside. It looks great! Thanks for your patience during this time.
