Food Pantry Closed New Year's Eve and New Year's Day

The Franklin Area Survival Center's food pantry will be closed on Monday, December 31, 2012 and Tuesday, January 1, 2013.

Our thrift store will be open on Monday, but closed on Tuesday, New Year's day.

CLOSED TODAY DUE TO SNOWSTORM

The Franklin Area Survival Center's food pantry and thrift store are closed due to the snowstorm.  We will reopen at 10:00 a.m., tomorrow morning. Enjoy the snow, but please be careful!

Snowstorm--Possible Closing

The Franlin Area Survival Center may be closed tomorrow due to the snowstorm blanketing our area as I write this. Please check in with WHAI FM Radio or BEAR Country in the morning, Thursday, December 27th before you come to the center.  We will announce on there if we are closing.  I will also post it on our Facebook page and on this blog.  Please be safe and enjoy the beauty of winter.

Reminder, we will be closing Saturday, December 22nd at 5:00 p.m and will not reopen until Wednesday, December 26th at 10:00.  Both the food pantry and the thrift store will be closed. We are doing this so that our employees and volunteers will have a nice long weekend to enjoy the Christmas holiday with their families.

Fundraiser Casino Bus Trip

We are planning a fundraiser event for February 10th, a bus trip to the Mohegan Sun Casino in CT. Check out the flyer below, our website and Facebook page for more information! Mohegan has great stores and top notch shows and much more, so even if you do not gamble you can have a great time! The buffet is fabulous!

Fundraiser to Benefit our Food Pantry

Free showing of the great classic, It's a Wonderful Life at the Shea Theater. It's free, but the event sponsors, LOOT and Jake's Tavern, ask that you bring non-perishables that will be donated to our food pantry. Come and enjoy a great movie and help your neighbors at the same time! 

Closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Christmas is on a Tuesday this year and we have decided to close both Christmas Eve day and Christmas Day so that our employees and volunteers can enjoy a nice long weekend with their family and friends.

Turning Point Hair Salon Food Drive

The Turning Point Hair Salon on Fifth Street in Turners Falls is collecting non-perishable foods for our food pantry. Please drop them off and get your hair done at the same time! You will look beautiful and you will have helped people in your community.

Collins-Moylan Skating Rink Food Drive-December 7
