Thank Yous!
We would like to thank everyone who has donated to the Franklin Area Survival Center in the past year for without you we could not continue to do what we do.
We especially want to thank the many people who on their own decided to do food drives in their neighborhoods to benefit us. These spur of the moment food drives helped us at times when we were low on food and the numbers of people needed help were rising. We may not know all of your names, but thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We had some wonderful donators during the holiday season including but not limited to the following: United Church of Bernardston's Sunday school children (Bernardston); Sunday school children from St. James Episcopal Church (teacher: Marie Paquette) and the First United Methodist Church (teacher: Robin Howe) both of Greenfield; St. Andrews Episcopal (Turners Falls); Kurt and Lacey Jobst; Western Mass Food Bank (Hatfield); the Greenfield Elk's Emblem Club; First Congregational Church (Greenfield); Our Lady of Peace (Turners Falls); Franklin County District Attorney's (Greenfield staff) office; Great Falls Middle School (Turners Falls); Franklin County Tech School (Turners Falls); Girard Family Farm; telephone operators from Verizon LiveSource in Gardner, MA; Antonio's Pizza of Bernardston and Greenfield (annual food drive); Franklin County Hunger Task Force; Bank of America--Greenfield; Greenfield Savings Bank, Bank of Western Massachusetts; school children of Greenfield Center School; local farmers who donated produce and many private donators of food and monetary donations. Thank you very much!!!!
Our thanks go out to the two families who donated brand new stand up freezers to the Center. When the call went out that we needed new freezers the response was wonderful. We now have more room and can accomodate much more frozen food in the pantry.
To all our staff and volunteers, we thank you for your dedication to helping us complete our mission of feeding the needy of Franklin County.
For those who are not named, your generosity is not forgotten. We thank you and know that we can count on you to continue to be there when we need you!
